Dr. Aakib Rahman Parray is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Akal University, Punjab, India. He holds a Ph.D. In Psychology from Aligarh Muslim University with specialization in clinical and cognitive Psychology.
He has extensive experience in teaching, clinical research supervision, and interdisciplinary collaboration across psychology and healthcare domains. His academic work integrates clinical psychology with public health and medical research, particularly focusing on patient mental health, psychological adjustment, quality of life, and evidence-based therapeutic outcomes. He has published in reputed national and international journals indexed in web of science, Scopus, and other reputed indexed journals, and have contributed systematic reviews, narrative reviews, and empirical studies relevant to clinical and translational research.
Dr. Parray is actively involved in supervising Postgraduate and Doctoral Research, organizing research methodology workshops, and promoting rigorous quantitative and qualitative research practices. His methodological expertise includes statistical analysis, psychometrics, and the use of advanced research software such as SPSS, Nvivo, R Studio and Rapid miner. He also serves in academic coordination and counseling roles, contributing to patient centered and student focused mental health initiatives.
